Hi All,
I often use Cortex with a musical phrase (instead of a single note) loaded and tracking pitches on a sequencer. Sometimes with long release times on the envelope and long decay times Cortex gets confused and the output becomes contiously evolving. The PROBABLY control adds to this. I'm not sure what is happening but this certainly is wonderful !
Cheers,

Cortex long times.

Yes, I'm getting strange results doing this with long speech samples. When each step is triggered, the sample resets, but when the sequencer stops, all the samples release, so very long samples that are triggered several times will release several times. Also, long pitch decays can add to the weirdness. I think I'll experiment with this further to see what's possible.

I'll have to try speech samples myself, thanks.Jack R wrote:Yes, I'm getting strange results doing this with long speech samples. Yes, please do experiment with this as it is producing great unexpected results. Possibly a synth/sampler could be developed to exploit this strangeness. Maybe these types of magic things are the reasoning behind the name "Psyhic Modulation".
