hey Squids,
I noticed that you now have sonik capsules for Wusik and the files seem to be a lot bigger than the other formats. Should users expect more detailed articulations in the samples or is it just the format itself. I am seriously considering purchasing Wusikstation over upgrading to SampleTank 2.5 +sounds because Wusik has better and bigger third party support than SampleTank. I might end up getting both, but for now it seems the "better" bargain.

I didn't vote, because I cn't see how I would pick between the two. Even though both re romplers/samplers, they are so different.
But I can answer your question about size. It is a format issue.

I aksed a similar question about the file sizes a while back and Squids replied with:
Also, for what it's worth: I really like Wusikstation for what it is, but I still have SampleTank (and the SR sound libraries) as my primary go to. The fact that it's multitimbral in itself makes for much cleaner projects and tracks that are easier to keep track of. This makes it the clear winner as a ROMpler for me.All of the sizes reflect the final zip file size so that version zipped better probably because of the UFO. It's the same material. Depending on the format the UFO will export it as either 500mb or 1gig. I think SampleTank version is 1 gig.

Well, I was going from my experience with having used Sampletank and from audio demos that I've heard from/for wusikStation. The instruments sound a lot more realistic and convincing to me. Especially the Back In time Records samples and sounds. They're pricey as hell though..at least for the 4 gig collections. Right now I can upgrade to SampleTank 2.5 and sounds for just $230 from esoundz. On the other hand I can cop wuskstation for $60 (Group Buy) and spend roughly $300 in sounds. The third option is to save my $$$$ and get Goliath as my core meat and potatoes sound source. Unfortunately, there aren't too many refills that can hold a candle to these new-gen Vst/samplers. Have you heard the orchestral collection from quantum leap, or the guitars in Acoustic Legends from vir2????? I'm at the point where I am planning to create my own key-mapped, multi velocitied, guitars. I can't afford Chris Hein's or Prominy guitar collections right now. I gotta a baby on the way. I am a reason user and I love it..BUT Reason is kinda lacking in the meat and potatoes category. Killa synth patches for days, but Horns, pianos, and guitars........looking for another source.

Well I own both of them but Sampletank wins for me. The quality of the built in effects is far, far better, it's multi-timbral which saves on CPU usage and I love the way you can stack sounds together (Combo's). I also think the layout is much cleaner.
Since I bought Sonik Synth, Miroslav and SampleMoog I've got all the rompler sounds I need. I didn't even bother to re-install Wusik when I recently rebuilt my DAW.
