Soundfonts and SC, Highlife

I have a confession. I'm not up to speed on the use of soundfonts. I've downloaded Shortcircuit and Highlife and have been able to successfully make some banks using wav files, but sfs are another issue. I've downloaded quite a few that won't load into either sampler. They have the extentions of either .sfArk or .sfpack. Is there some other utility I need to convert these into formats usable by SC and Highlife or will they just not work at all? Thanks in advance for any help.
