Combining Manybass with a Real bass - the results..

On my most recent project (genre:punk) I drafted the bass on Manybass (VERY handy and quick). I then recorded a real bass to replace it, but found it lacked the clarity and punch of Manybass. By combining the two I managed to get more clarity and punch, while being able to include real slides which were very important in transitions, and a touch more organic feel.

I wouldn't say this is always going to work! It actually feels quite dodgy hehe, but the fact was that in this case, it sounded better when using both rather than one or the other. Basically, it fixed problems I would have great stress otherwise fixing - if at all.

Feel free to have a listen to the results.. Its a punk song, and I apologize to all those who loathe this genre, but we're all open minded aren't we?

I think it sounds fantastic! Terrific production, and I like the tune, too. I think the bass really worked out. Deep sound, but just punchy enough. Thanks for posting this!
