Hey guys im just wondering if this is possible? I know some vsts and libraries are .exe files and im wondering if i can extract these to my mac somehow.

Post

Woudnt you be usng the Mac versions of these on your Mac? Yeah, .exe's are windows program files, but the actual patches and samples should work on either.

ive just converted to mac and have all my plugins as exe files :(

Post

absolutely NONE of your plugins are exe files.
Installers and executables are exe files.
Plugins are usually dll rtas etc

Refer back to your original discs for MAC installers.

doesnt the EWQL stuff come with dual installers for PC and Mac?

Post

you should be able to open the quantum leap libraries with kontakt 2 or 3 but you definitely have to install them stand-alone first. same goes for elektrik piano and a couple other kompakt-player based things from Eeast West.

the original installer DVDs for the EW stuff will have OS X'ish installers though you might need to get universal binary updaters if you have an intel mac. i would call East West if you're having trouble with the install.

okay thanks guys, i managed to get the installers from EW's support page after i registered. Im really starting to love my mac daw :)
