Just wondering if anybody purchased the upgrade version to Giga 4. I want to know if it comes with any new demo samples, and if you can do a clean install with the upgrade or if it just patches up 3.
Also, how does it perform with Dual/Quad cores?

I believe the upgrade is available on pre-order from sweetwater, thought GS4 is still in Beta.
I'm testing it here, but don't have a multi-core system, so I can't answer that part of your question. I do know that there is content from a number of developers, including SONiVOX, Larry Seyer Digital, Me (Wavelore), and probably some more, but I've heard no official word.
You can definitely do a clean install- and you don't need to uninstall v.3. I've been using GS3 and GVI 3 along with betas of both apps in v.4 for a while now. They all coexist very nicely, though once you're on 4, there's really no need for 3 (I have to have it all here to check found bugs against the older versions).

Will 4 require a Syncrosoft key? Or will it use Syncrosoft's dongle-less C/R like Sequel does (and I think some of the giga-based single instruments).
