Keystation 88 es, high velocity problem

I got a Keystation 88es a while back und just now had the time to play with it.
Seems alright for what it is except for one thing, high velocities.
I have to slam the keys quite a bit to get anything over 115 wich is ok, but if i do it jumps all the way up to 127 all the time.
I've had midi keyboards cheaper than this and none of them did something like that.
So, is it normal behaviour for this one or is mine just broken?

Have you tried the different velocity curves? I think there are 3 on the keystation and you may have it set to "hard" which will mean that you really have to play hard to get max velocity.

Velocity curves would be nice but i don't think the 88es has them, at least there is nothing in the manual that covers that.
And just to be clear, my problem isn't getting max velocity, it is getting values between like 115 and 127.Doesn't seems possible, not even by chance.

Any further ideas are much appreciated.

I have a Keystation too, the 49e. The problem here is that it's difficult to play soft notes. It's almost impossible to play notes under 40 velocity. The loud notes are no problem.

A friend also had this keyboard but for him there were no problems at all.

There must be an electric component part inside (forgot the name, receptor?) what we can finetune to get the best velocity curve. I'm sure that's where the culprit lies in the Keystation series.

A few searches revealed many other similar posts on various board/reviews. Even a workaround.

The biggest problem I have encountered is the velocity sensitivity is a little substandard. It is very difficult to make a soft sound it tends to make things sound harder than you hit it.

The final problem is that the black keys are much more sensitive to velocity than the white keys. The same amount of force played on a white key will yield a significantly different velocity signal sent than on a black key.

The biggest disappointment is in the velocity response, as others have said. It is simply IMPOSSIBLE to play piano with any type of feeling. My keyboard (don't know if it's endemic to the entire line, or just mine) will register all Fs (F1, F2, F3, etc.) with about a 25% higher midi velocity value than any other key!!
