st 2.5 no combis

I recently purchased the sonic synth, sampletank2.5 XL group buy with the 6 expansion tank cds of samples and 6 sonic reality cds of samples.
My problem is I don't have any of the combi sounds in sampletank
I have seen the sounds upgrade for sampletank and I think that's what I need to get my combis. I was wondering if the upgrade cds 6gb + 2gb are much different from the expansion tank sounds I already have and, if it would be worth the extra bucks to have the combis, or should I already have the combis and maybe I did something wrong on the install,
I also got the free combis from esoundz they worked in sonic synth but not in sampletank, maybe because I dont have the sounds that come with st2.5 XL,
Do i have to buy the sounds upgrade to get the combis, and is it worth the money?

To use the Sampletank 2.5 Combi's, drag the folder into your Sampletank presets folder. Also, make sure that Sampletank is pointing to your Sonik Synth instruments folder. The reason for making them available for use in Sampletank is to take advantage of the new effects routing capabilities to make even more dramatic combinations.
