POD XT PRO/X3 Ethernet Controller???

I have the POD XT PRO and the X3, I also have the FBV Shortboard foot controller. As you may know the controller connects via ethernet cable. I'd like to know if it's possible to connect both units at the same time with a ethernet splitter?
