Hey all, we have just finished a first Alpha of FilterShaper. This VST filter effect allows you to draw LFOs that modulate cutoff, resonance and volume. You can download it here:

We would be very interested in any feedback, not only about any bugs, but also about its GUI, its modulation matrix, its sound, or any random thoughts on that.

well, in energy 1.4.1 i get an error when i try to open it:

additionally, it crashes xt2 to the desktop without warning while trying to load it ...

That's strange. I just tried it with eneryXT 1.4.1 and energyXT 2 and for both it worked without any problems.

hmmm ... just tried it here again, redownloaded 3x ... give's me the error message above ... and xt2 just quits on loading ...

just to be sure the download was ok:

the dll is 2,2mb, right?

amd 2,6 ghz barton socket, win xp pro sp2, rme digi 96/52 here ...

Both this plugin & VolumeShaper doesn't work here in Audiomulch & Usine (XP SP2)- they appear in the plugin list but when i drop them into the patch nothing happens. I guess it's something to do with some runtime that i don't have installed - that may also explain the error brok landers get on energyXT.

Same thing here in eXT1.4.1 and 2 crashes. Does not load into anything else. Just blanks out like it doesnt exist.

Hey all, thanks for your crash reports! We will have a close look soon.

For the ones who actually could get FilterShaper to work: We would be very much interested in any opinions on its usability; for example if its modulation matrix can be understood and used easily?

f**king fantastic!!! Nice sounding filter too. This is may be great for designing your own modulation FX, like a mini Lovephilter.

1. Worked great and saved at all sampling rates tested - 44,48,88,96,192
2. It's very very very easy to use, maybe not for a super-galactic-noob, but all the buttons are reeeeally easy to figure out. I especially love the move up/down entire wave buttons.

...the modulation matrix is pretty standard... and the no guff GUI rocks arse all the live long day.

The only boo I had was not being able to fine tune the matrix values - as in get them back to "0" or whatever number I wanted. I tried the standard alt/ shift/ctrl hold down....

I'd request only three things:

1. Stereo function
2. Nothing.
3. Nothing.
