I recently got a tablet PC, the lenovo X61t. I just installed FL8 rc2 on it and it's been working great. The "Use tablet pc / other digitizer" setting was checked by default, so if I forgot about that setting, I would have been in good shape Wink
In the main program and in most of the stock plugins, all of the knobs and sliders work great when using the pen. However in PoiZone and Morphine they are unusable on a tablet PC. If I try to use them like any other knob, the control alternates between 0% and 100%. If I slow down and move tiny, tiny amounts, I can see that moving the pen about 3mm or so makes up the entire range of 0-100%. However, it's not just sensitivity, something else weird is going on. Let me explain. Let's say I have a knob at 0% and I want to move it up. So I tap on the knob and drag my pen up 1mm. The knob moves up about 30% or so. I haven't let go of the drag yet. Now I decide I want to bring it back down, so I move my pen down 1mm. As I am moving my pen down, the knob continues to climb, going up to 60%. But now I'm at my original spot - I've moved up 1mm and down 1mm. But the knob is not at it's original spot. If I move down another 1mm, the wheel will go down another 30% to +30%. So I've gone down 1mm, but now I'm up 30%! So it doesn't seem like the direction I'm dragging matters, only my absolute "Am I above or below the place where I started?" This is because I did 2mm of travelling "Above" the origin point, and 1mm of travelling "below" the origin point. So I think I know where the bug is coming from.
I tested PoiZone in both Generator and Plugin modes - neither worked. I tested Morphine in generator mode only. However, not all of the Maxx plugins are effected. Toxic III (plugin mode) works fine, just as every other knob and slider in the main FL program. Other plugins like Wasp etc work fine.
Thanks for reading and let me know if you need any more information. I posted this on the image-line forums as well, but I figured this might be a better place to go.
