I'm using Image-Line's Toxic Biohazard and I'm getting "Failed to create VST 'Toxic Biohazard' This VST is not compatible with Live" errors when loading the instrument as a rack (with the Live compressor) - but not when loaded on its own.

It happens every time, apart from every fifth time when it makes Live close with a fatal error.

I'm using Live 7.0.2 , if that helps (and I'm posting this one on the Live forum too)

does anyone have any ideas?

Could you tell me how you open Toxic Bio (or any plugin) "as a rack" in Live? It's not a feature I'm familiar with.

Do you first save a rack preset with the plugin in it?

yes, i save the rack as a preset first. ie: add Toxic to a track, then add any other effects, group them together and save. to load i either double click on the saved rack or drag it to the required track.

i'm never had this problem with any other plugins (Toxic III works fine once saved as a rack)

I've tried this in both Live 6.0.10 and 7.0.2 and it works in both, Toxic Bio is loaded. The rack preset was saved in Live 6, cause I only have the Live 7 demo.

Could you upload your rack preset, so I could try that?

That preset loads fine here.

Could you make sure you've got the latest version of Toxic Biohazard (version 1.0)?

I've solved it - I still had the beta test version (0.9) in a folder in my VST folder (where 1.0 lives). I deleted v0.9 and now my rack loads!
