I have a Voodoo Labs Super Fuzz which is alleged to sound like the Univox but isn't even close. I had a Black Cat Super Fuzz for a day but returned it because it was broken due to its poor quality construction, so I never got to hear it. I just got a Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz ($30 USD on eBay was too cheap to pass up), which seems to nail the sound (although it's been so long since I've owned a Univox that I don't know for sure).

There are a couple of others on the market that claim to reproduce the exact sound: the Watson Super Fuzz ($150 USD), which even looks like the real thing, and the MC-FX Super Fuzz ($275 USD). I've read about the MJM China Super Fuzz, but they don't seem to be available any longer. Has anyone done a comparison of those mentioned or have additional suggestions?

I think the Black Cat one is supposed to be one of the best sounding ones, although I've not tried it. There is a guyatone one as well, can't comment on that one either.

The Voodoo labs one is misleading, its a clone of a Jordan Bosstone with some extra controls.

the DOD one, pumkin colored (don't remember the name, long time ago) used to be my weapon of choice when I was still in bands. not the same sound, and a bit crappy until you crank it up to "turbo", and then start to play the intro of "satisfaction". for me, the dog's. what about the BIG MUFF?(non-guitarists, stop giggling...)
It's not what you use, it's how you use it...

the superfuzz has a bit of an octave effect so its a bit different from the usual fuzzes/big muffs.

Foxx tone machine is another good one. I had a clone but gave it to a mate, I think I prefered that one to my tychobrahe octavia

My Wattson SuperFuzz arrived today. This is the one. The years of searching are over. I haven't owned a Univox SuperFuzz in a long time and have been buying every pedal I can find that claims to sound like the original. This is the first one that actually does. It looks almost exactly like the original, but is built a lot better. The sound is smooth like butter and at $150 USD, it's a better choice than some beat up $400 eBay job.

Please post some sounds if you can :).

I will try to do so this weekend when I have some free time. But in the meantime, here is a sample from the Wattson website:

I do wish the tone 2 sample was played away from the bridge with just the neck pickup. IMO, the sample really doesn't do the fat tone of the pedal's tone 2 justice.

Glad you are pleased with your purchase, I love fuzz/octavia type pedals

I've heard great things about the Rising Sun (made by GS Wyllie). You can order it here:

I just ordered a Wattson SF. I should have it by next week. 8)
