Hi

Don't know if this question has been asked or answered already. If so, just tell me where and I will happily go away.

When I try to load an mp3 file in the X-Gear speed trainer I get a message box reading "The file cannot be played. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found."

OK, I think in plain English that means that X-Gear is not properly set up to play mp3. I have the mp3 codec on my computer. After all. It comes standard with all computers, and in addition I have the Lame codec on my computer to create mp3 files. I just need to find out how I can get X-Gear setup to recognize that codecs.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

OK, I don't know if this is my computer or if this is DRM sticking out it's ugly head here. The speedtrainer does not do this with all mp3. Only some purchased from a certain source. Most mp3 load fine. No problem. I have established since is that the same mp3 will not even open in my host software either. Even Razor lame will not open these mp3 to decode the files. My conclusion therefore is that X-Gear is NOT the problem.
