I didn't see that coming. I assumed it was long forgotten, but lo, a new version announced:

http://www.kvraudio.com/news/8941.html

Can't seem to find a change log, no idea what they revised/added/removed. Looks like the odd MIDI-centric patch changing mechanism remains.

Nonetheless, rejoice.

I just got the news update for this and looked at it with disbelief. Gonna try this out asap!

"After 3.5 years of silence, here it is: A current, new and improved V2 synthesizer system version with a lot of additional features and quite better sound. And it provides way more integration into your own programs. Oh, and it's gotten even faster."

If i reckon correctly, some distortion modes' DC offsets were fixed and a vaguely moogish filtertype has been implemented. Amongst other stuff.

If you used it for producing v2ms you should have way less flaws with mixing stuff internally now.
aka rktic. demoscener (Farbrausch, Holon, MFX, Still), sound designer, ux-dude, sth @AudioRealism, human synthesizer—not necessarily in that order.

just checked the "single" version in Traction and the "the odd MIDI-centric patch changing mechanism" seems gone. i.e. works like a normal VSTi

...and an awesome speech synth available on ch 16!!!

Just gave it a testrun in Live 7.

*edit*
-You can change patches normally using the single version.

-Managed to crash Live in 2 minutes using only FabV2. I opened the vsti, nothing else, and started playing notes while i was changing parameters. Altering L2 EnvMode crashes the host.

+1

If the interface is scrollable anyway then why oh why did they have to make it so high that it doesn't fit on my 1280x800 laptop screen :bang: Thank heavens for Show param option in eXT.

Nevertheless, a definite keeper.

i completely forget the name of it, or what the practice is called.. so really sorry.. worth mentioning tho.

if you want to be wowed by technology, this programmer used to participate in a project where you'd pack as much into 64k as you could.. their entry, using some evolution of this synth, is a rather nice bit of electropop with a 3d animated music video..

..all in 64k. no, really. it qualifies the l33tism.
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

P.S.: Note the next to last paragraph under "Impact" to come full circle.

Check out their 177kb demo "Debris". There's really awesome use of the synth there (v1.5 has the same sound).

sheeeeeet, back from the dead or what !

Was always pretty unstable for me....very beta.

Wont bother tying this as a Live user though :(

made a snippet with single version (bass). not bad. could be a little more "turbo" for an all-in-one, but no complaints.
