Sfzed will extract the waves. It is a simple small application.

It can be found here;

And to complete it all, Awave Studio by FMJSoft can do this too! As long as you're doing just one sample a time the demo version will do.

And without time or size limits, and it does 24-bit SoundFonts as well.

Does it mean that translator free allow the other way round too?
I mean: wav -> sf2?

This is the exact opposite of what you asked for in the thread title. Nevertheless most of the listed suggestions can do what you want.

I wrote a conversion tool in 1998, which extracts 16-bit WAV files from an .SF2. Now posted up with source code.

It's at: http://sanfransys.com/main_downloads.htm (http://sanfransys.com/main_downloads.htm)

It's called there 'sf2towav'

It outputs to a new folder so 'blah.sf2' is output to '/blah'. It's tested so shouldn't corrupt any files.

DOS version is run from the command line
WIN version runs with a Windows interface
