MIDI CTRL in ST- reverse min/max values?

i'm just fiddling with mapping the mod wheel to the bpm sync rate of the LFO. with a min. of 0 and max set to 8, the result is that as you move the mod wheel forward the sync heads to 1/1. but i'd like the reverse so that it starts moving to 1/16 as you increase mod. there doesn't seem to be negative number input on the Midi CTRL screen, nor is there the option to set the min to 8 and max to 0.

You might be able to do this by remapping the output of the mod wheel with MidiOx or MidiYoke (can't remember which is which.)Mr. Tunes wrote:i'm just fiddling with mapping the mod wheel to the bpm sync rate of the LFO. with a min. of 0 and max set to 8, the result is that as you move the mod wheel forward the sync heads to 1/1. but i'd like the reverse so that it starts moving to 1/16 as you increase mod. there doesn't seem to be negative number input on the Midi CTRL screen, nor is there the option to set the min to 8 and max to 0.
Play what you feel and feel what you play.

Good suggestion. By the way, I've been asking for this feature for years. It'd be a nice one!beergeek wrote:You might be able to do this by remapping the output of the mod wheel with MidiOx or MidiYoke (can't remember which is which.)Mr.
Hope you're doing well Tunesy!

yeah i'd ideally like to not use a third party program for a few reasons, but the top one being so i can make some of my own ST presets that can be easily recalled(or shared).beergeek wrote:You might be able to do this by remapping the output of the mod wheel with MidiOx or MidiYoke (can't remember which is which.)
you too dave! still giving your sounds a daily work out over here. if sonik synth was a hardware keyboard i would've blown the circuits in it long agoSquids wrote:Hope you're doing well Tunesy!
i'm using Cubase Studio 4 which i'm in the process of upgrading to full 4. i know you can now use the Logical Editor on the project level which is cool, but yeah no option to save the setting as a ST presetKim wrote:What sequencer are you using? I know Cubase can be set up to invert MIDI CCs using the Logical Editor. I imagine the other major sequencers have similar capabilities.
are you on 4 yet kim? it's great.

No I'm still on SX3 (ancient, I know!). I'm working on my solo album this year, and I just haven't got around to pushing up to Cubase 4. You know, every time I upgrade Cubase, it's not the big-ticket features that impress me - it's all the little tweaks around the edges that make life so much easier. I really should get around to upgrading some time this year.Mr. Tunes wrote:i'm using Cubase Studio 4 which i'm in the process of upgrading to full 4. i know you can now use the Logical Editor on the project level which is cool, but yeah no option to save the setting as a ST preset
