Hello. I'm working on a song and just wanted to ask about an idea to change a key. I want to go from D to E (major). I need a four chord climb to get there (1 chord per bar) they need to start on Bm and and there needs to be another three chords in the climb (or inversions) prior to me hitting the E to start the new verse. Currently I'm doing this: - Bm, D, A, B .. and then to the E. Any better ideas at all?

see if this sounds nice to you: Bm, G, C, B7, E.
Play them the easy way, making common notes to stay where they are.

Play fair and square!
