Does anyone know of a chart or website or some kind of resource that lists all the different types of chord progressions most commonly used for each genre of music?

they try to sell some software to go along with the site, but there's still some chord info on there.

you can also look up chords by artist.

This page is a great resource for chaining together chord progressions to work in pop music. It's a major key map that can be supplemented with harmonic minor substitutions.

I have several printed out and kept in my various guitar cases and on my keyboard stand.

Quite handy, isn't it? I know just enough theory to be dangerous. With that chart, I can concentrate on writing songs and not worry about theory-ness of the song.
