Just me and his mp3...later replaced graciously by Poly with a wav file.
Nothing too fancy or overly polished, just some stuff I came up with over Polyslax's "Garden of James". I had a blast singing improv style over this. I sent him a rough copy of the vocals, but he said I should post this on it's own.
Hope you guys enjoy this, too. The original instrumental is a totally gorgeous track and worthy of so much more. I hope I didn't desecrate it.

I just heard this last night, such a beautiful song. There are are places where the vocal just sends shivers down my spine. Very well balanced, it's like Poly had intended a vocal treatment. Excellent work guys.

Lovely, really suitable for my Saturday morning listening.

Didn't hear the original non-vocal version but this sounds like it was always intended to be a proper song.

Jazzy, you really brought something to the track rather than just singing over it. You have a real talent for tapping into moods and you've got the voice to make it happen. I absolutely love this, thank you!

It's really interesting your voice has so much colours !
Surely one can always hear the Jazzy crisp, but I didn't expected you sing the tune this way

Me personally can hear a Peter Gabriel influence in here ... not especially the kind of voice but the character and way of feeling the pulse and messing around with the tune !

Thanks, guys, for reassuring I didn't mess it up. I like this more having a day or 2 away from it. I have always wanted to throw some vocals on one of Poly's tracks, this one just screamed at me to do it.

The song itself was the muse, but here's what inspired the lyrics....
I have been working on a farm in a mountain valley to help a friend out who owns a flower business. We go out there on hot sunny days and pull weeds, dig and plant more, till dirt, etc. Every afternoon there is a breeze that runs through the valley and seems to be coming from the volcano (Mt Rainier) to the south. You can watch, like clockwork, whole fields of people suddenly stand up and absorb the breeze face first throughout this entire farming valley attempting to cool off. It's like someone blew a silent 'breaktime' whistle that only farmers can hear. That blissful moment of almost spiritual "aaaahhh" was what I was trying to capture with the vocals. Then the breeze dies down and everyone goes back to work.. very refreshed.
