I was wondering what is yours technics creating music.
I like to start with the bassline, from there how you guys create the rest?
The lead,pads,plucks,arps and the melodie.
Copying some notes of the bassline already create with diferent octaves everybody knows that, give me something creative or something diferent that a lot of people been using.
Thanks.

been playing with algorithmic tools lately.
got a fairly old bit of software called Gingerbread that I've been messing about on, with varying degrees of success/failure.
I've also been using some of Xoxos' algorithmic tools - also with varying degrees of success/failure.
There's obviously that underlying feeling like it's not YOUR music, but with the amount of trial and error that seems to be involved, you can at least say you put effort into it.....usually!
Quite interesting though, when you're feeling a bit blank.
Otherwise, I tend to put whatever rhythm or skeleton track I have in an infinite loop of a few bars (usually between 8 - 16), and just start playing on the MIDI kb until I've found something I like. Also involves lots of trial and error (since I'm not the best player in the world!), but I usually have some fun doing it.
I can't really remember what process I had, or even if I had one before I got the MIDI kb & had to program everything. I imagine I settled for less a lot more often...
