This one started off as nothing more than a doodle (even now...it may not be much more than that...but it is what it is )
I liked the chordal structure so I added a few parts. Later, I came up with the "slow" section which is actually the start of the piece... so it felt to me like I was building all of this backward from the way I usually work but I kinda like it. Maybe it needs more... but right now, I like the open floor plan in this warehouse loft of a ditty. The furniture may come in at a later time.

BTW- I realllllllly love using tools like vocoding in conjunction with replicant (so as to add all sorts of deconstructed but "related" rhythms) and Stormgate or AnarchyRhythms and I try not to rely on them, but dammit, they sound so coool to me!

Oh man, what a beauty! Lush and soothing. I actually get a Stevie vibe off this, sort of a Sunshine of My Life feel. Wouldn't change a thing myself, love it... going in for another taste!

...hmmm... specifically I think it's some of the chord changes toward the end and perhaps just the tone of the epiano that's pulling a Stevie string somewhere in my heart... can't quite pin it down... no matter, just enjoying it...

...actually, there is a bar where there is some prominent chordal clashing, but I thing it's more of a "sustain" issue than an actual syntax thing (ie- the notes that are clashing decay more slowly than the newly established chordal roots in just that one section toward the end...) but I'm guessing that is NOT the section that is reminescent to you of Stevie
at any rate- I'm leaving it alone for now

As cool as ever blortblort. You've definitely got your own sound, the best I can describe it is like a modern take on an amalgam of diverse 60/70's style influences - lounge/jazz/funk/jazz funk. Electronic but organic at the same time.

Strangely I thought this was really melancholic whilst polyslax thought it was lush and soothing, must be my state of mind I guess.

less is more, more or less, maybe a bit less, but certainly more so, to a lesser degree. I loved this, a tasty combo of twisted sounds, a head bobbin groove and some delightful phrases.

Things are superlative and I'm way too busy to get to 90% of anything I should be doing... great except I got a netifriend who's having a hard time, that is. Hard as in, well, hell.
