OK, I finally finished the Please Call 911 track, inspired by the painting 'Please Call 911' (obviously) by our very own drumity [MIRABA].

Here is the original thread and the painting:

As soon as I saw the painting I thought 'distressed fish' :D and fell in love with it. So I tried to create a distressing atmosphere but still quite light and enjoyable. And here it is:

It's reminiscent of Jamaican dub and perhaps 50's exotica. I hope you'll like it and of course, comments welcome.

Instruments and sounds

DSK Brass : great stuff, especially for ensemble use!
Mr. Ray 73 : what a lovely rhodes
Kore Player : it has this great physically-modelled e-bass sound which I adore
Free drum samples I found on freesound IIRC and the excellent Funkybot clap samples .

FX:

TAL Dub I + II
Bootsie Rescue
Bootsie NastyLF
DigitalFishPhones Endorphin
mda DubDelay
Voxengo TubeAmp
Tobybear Deconstructor
MjRotodelay
Ambience
Comprimere
DFX Transverb
Electri-Q
Preamp TGR-18

That's a lot of FX! :D

Hey TristezaOrange !

Thank you very much for your 2nd contribution !
The confusion of the distressed scene in "Please Call 911 !" one can hear in your track ;-)
But as you can see the poor fish is attend to break free and to get the hell out of there !
So no worry :D

You're welcome! :) TBH this was a much cleaner track but I decided that I wanted to give it the confusing/distressed character so I dirtied it up. :d
