Sustain Pedal not working for Arturia synths

I just bought Arturia's Jupiter 8V, and I'm getting the Prophet as a freebie.
I've noticed that pressing the sustain pedal has no effect on all of the Jupiter sounds and the Prophet 5 sounds. The sustain pedal works for the Prophet VS sounds that I've tried.
I have the Minimoog V and ARP 2600v as well; the sustain pedal works fine for these synths.
For those of you who have the Jupiter and Prophet, does your sustain pedal hold the notes? I just want to make sure that my plug-ins are working properly.
I'm puzzled as to why Arturia wouldn't implement sustain on all of their synths.
Thanks.

While some hosts offer the option of converting sustain messages into extended notes, Sustain is a MIDI CC message (CC # 64). Unless the host intervenes, Sustain does NOT change the position of Note Off messages.

There is a sustain pedal midi message, which is normally how sustain is dealt with, in the instrument, not the controller. Though you could implement it in the controller in the way you imagine.Xichael wrote:Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but a MIDI controller's sustain pedal has nothing to do with the instrument it's controlling. It simply acts as a sort of switch to keep pressed notes on. As far as the instrument knows, you haven't taken your fingers off the keys.
That's all I got. I hope you find a solution.

I'd like to correct you too, the only way I've ever seen sustain implemented is by midi cc #64 (Hold pedal). http://www.gweep.net/~prefect/eng/refer ... .html#HoldXichael wrote:Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but a MIDI controller's sustain pedal has nothing to do with the instrument it's controlling.
