I am trying to get a grasp on theory and everyone tells me having a piano is key to learn theory well. Unfortunately all i have is my 25key Midi Controller, in everyone's opinion do you think that is good enough for a learning aid? Thanks for any replies, much appreciated!

Mate that midi controller should be fine. Just look around the internet on how to play chords on the keyboard. Basically (without getting into 7ths, lidian scales and what not) there are 12 scales, (with a major and 2 minor variants) for each note. Then each scale will have a triad, which is a chord of 3 notes, starting on the root note of that chord. There are 2 more possible inversions of that triad of 3 notes (triad because tri=3) and you will find them easily.
Once you have a grasp on that, it will all become VERY clear to you. Oh yeah, it'll need a lot of practice but after a while it will be like reading a book. Reading sheet music notation is somewhat irrelevant for creating a lot of electronic music (and other genres too), but it's still another thing that could be helpful. Damn, now that I've kinda stopped writing piano music and playing piano music as often, I better start practicing my sheet music skills!
