I got my UPS tracking number 5 minutes ago, so it will arrive this Wed (2 days).Fhangor wrote:Is here anyone who actually has a copy of Omnisphere installed and tried to use it? If anyone is there: can you give me first impressions?
I expect it to impress at first, so initial impressions may not be useful. Warts may show after a few days use, but... perhaps not.
we'll see.

Well i guess since it's officially out today I'm allowed to talk about.
I've had the honor to test Omnisphere since a few weeks and to sum it up, there's nothing like it. Its sound quality is unmatched imo and the overall design is very user friendly and intuitive. Eric and his team have just delivered a new synth that will raise the overall bar for all others to come.
There i said it. I just wish I would be the only Omnisphere user.
cheers!
Sascha

Thanks for sharing,
I just knew that we'd hear this sort of positive response! And they accused me of being psychic...meh. What would you say about the native powersynth itself?
Any comparison?

Im using xp and Vista. Runs great on both so no worries there. Really not a mac guy so..
Listen, people hype their own expectations. Omnisphere is fantastic but you will still have to write music. It will not write you a hit or make you a better musician. But it can inspire you and take your track to the next level for sure.
With that said, Everybody enjoy and lets make some wicked tracks.

Who other than Stevie Wonder actually has Omnisphere right here...right now?
Well I'm sure those other guys who know a guy probably have it as well...
I wonder if J.J. Abrams will press a single key and get credit for composing the new 'Fringe" theme.
No hate.

toksin thanks for sharing your opinion, I preordered Omnisphere and can't wait to start playing with it by next week.
Also, let me just say I'm a HUGE fan of your music, especially your remix of "Chaos"! If you ever want to do some kind of breakbeat/big beat collaboration, fans of mine who are fans of yours as well have said my production style is similar
