Hey there, Precisionsound,

I've noticed that you give rapid answers to forum questions here and at Cubase.net, where I have also posted this query. :)

I have just bought Instrument Bundle #2 for HALion/Kontakt & SoundFont (Sf2). After what seems hours trying to get all the zip & rar files unzipped (there was a problem with my Celtic Whistles UNLOCK CODE), I now have no means of knowing how to install all this stuff.

I am not a computer newbie, so maybe I am just missing something somewhere. I assume they have to be copied into my Kontakt 2 Library somewhere. But where? I have looked all over http://www.store.precisionsound.net/ - no advice is there. Can you help, plz?

Thanks,

John.
What counts is not just what you've written, but what you're *going* to write! ;o)

I copied our answer from cubase.net:

Hello!

If you have extracted the libraries just browse the folder and find the "Kontakt programs" folder and open the .nki file(s) in Kontakt.

Best regards,

Lars

PS! If you have problems to extract the libraries send me a mail about it at info@precisionsound.net

Hello again, Lars,

I've replied to you at Cubase.net, but I suggest we continue here. OK?

In fact, I made a mistake by unzipping my files in my Downloads folder, thinking that I would have a setup.exe program somewhere. So now they're all unzipped in the wrong place.

I need to know where to put them in my Kontakt 2 Library folder, rather than open them from where they are now, to keep things tidy.

I'm trying it out now, keeping copies of the originals of course. I think I've dealt with PSCW_lib & PSBPP_lib (I'm updating my Kontakt 2 DB right now), but what should I do with the PSCW_Structure_lib & PSBPP_Structure_lib folders which, as you know, contain .patch files? Are they for Halion? I use Cubase VST 5.2.

Thanks,

John.

Lars,

The only problem with extracting my Celtic Whistles was that the UNLOCK CODE on the HTML page contained an extra space [ ] at the end, which I hadn't realised, so I kept getting the message that the UNLOCK CODE was incorrect. I solved it by accident really. It wasn't really the fault of Precisionsound, but I think you should make your customers aware of the possibility by stating the number of digits there should be in each UNLOCK CODE. Just a thought... ;)
