Anomaly V - Whispers - Voices of the Dead.

Anomaly V is composed of 99 indecipherable Mono whispers for atmospheric effect and Stereo whispers in Enochian.

The Enochian was whispered by Leilah Wendell and consists of all 17 Enochian Calls as well as the Call of the 30 Aethyrs. Each Call is presented as one file in a single reading as well as chopped into bits to make it easier to spread around a track. Her voice was pitch-shifted down and put through a delay. Other than that, what you are getting is the raw, sampled files to further process, mangle, etc.... on your own.

Anomaly V will come in only two formats - .wav and .sf2.

The .wav format consists of the Mono and Stereo whispers mentioned above. The 99 indecipherable whispers are 67 Mb, and the Enochian whispers are 550 Mb in total.

The .sf2 format consists of 2.sf2 files with 99 sounds and one mute sound per file. All sounds will be Mono only. This format is specifically done to make them playable in HG Fortunes new instrument - The Dream Machine. They will play in other instruments that support the .sf2 format as well.

The .sf2 files are TDM-Nightmares One-shot.sf2 (67 Mb) and Enochian One-shots.sf2 (136 Mb)

Audio demos of the Enochian whispers being used in music and some demos of the whispered sounds only, are available here:

The audio demos are at the bottom of the page.... :D

Question : Anomaly IV webpage redirects to Dangerous Bear, but there, the Cakewalk Edition only seems to include Anomaly 1-3... is that correct?

As far as I know, I think IV is included as well. Volume V wouldn't be though.

It mentions here: http://www.dangerousbear.com/dbsig.html

"Daniel Kemp's Anomaly Multiformat Sample Library. A totally unique colection created by sound designer Daniel Kemp. Volume 1, Percussive Ambiances, features drummer Johann Rucker, transforming his drum performances into rhythmically pulsating and timbrally moving soundscapes. Volume 2, Drones, is the product of radically processing and resampling sounds from the Dangerous Bear sample pool. Volume 3 features pads, generated from the same processes as the Volume 2 Drones, but multisampled. Volume 4 continues the journey into new sonic worlds."

Daniel or John would know more though, I just do some sound design/presets for them.

This is why I was wondering:

http://www.dangerousbear.com/cwlibs.html
Anomaly Dimension Edition $60 dBu Chief Sound Designer Daniel Kemp's Three Volume collection of moods and textures. sfz definition files, wav samples and Dimension presets. Read more about Anomaly HERE:
Anomaly Rapture Edition $60 As above, but with presets for Cakewalk's 6-layer modulation monster.
So it just seemed possible that the CW version didnt include V4, whilst some of the others did...

John may need to update his website info...there is indeed a Cakewalk version of IV, as I did the Rapture version and Daniel did the Dimension Pro version. Sorry I don't know more though! The business end of stuff is on Daniel and John.

No problem; thanks for the help.

Don't worry, all Anomaly soundset orders get links for Volumes 1 through IV and then a cross-grade offer for Volume V.....

I will take a look at the dangerous bear site later today and let John know if he has to update something.... :D

Yes, all 4 Volumes are available in sfz with presets for both Dimension Pro and Rapture. Volume 5's availability is as stated above: wav and sf2 available any second now. I have forgotten to update that page, it happens because I get busy with sound design work on the one hand while Daniel makes staggered rollouts of the Anomaly formats a few days apart form each other and I just plain forget to do the proper updates per format sometimes. I apologize for this, and for any possible confusion it may have caused. The Cakewalk page is now fixed, referring to all 5 volumes, and I will do likewise to the dBu Signature, Native Instruments and Wusik pages within the next few minutes.

Edit:

dangerousbear.com has now been updated to reflect the status of Anomaly as a five-volume, multi-format library. It's possible to order format-specific editions on the respective pages for that format: WusikEngine Libraries for Wusik-based instruments, Instruments for the Fusion version of our WusikEngine-based sampler Prometheus that includes the Anomaly Wusik Edition library's soundsets and presets plus special exclusive presets combining it with the Prometheus core library(there is also a WusikEngine Anomaly VSTi), Cakewalk Libraries for sfz, and Native Instruments Libraries for Kontakt and Absynth versions. But the best place to go for Anomaly is to the dBu Signature page, where you see all our joint-venture products in all formats. Here you get the best volume-by volume breakdown of the library and links to Daniel's website for audio demos and free sample demos, as well as the ordering access to all formats. Now is an especially good time to order Anomaly, as it is still available at the price we set for it when it was still just 3 volumes. I can assure you, that price will be adjusted upwards, and soon.

Current users will be getting their crossgrade emails as soon as Daniel is ready, and new users will be getting all 5 volumes with their order.

The evolution of Anomaly.....

From now until the end of the year, anyone who orders Anomaly as it is from the dBu site will get Anomaly V for free.....

After the end of the year, Anomaly will be undergoing a re-structuring.....

With Wusikstation being able to load .SFZ files, there is really no longer a reason to keep the .WusikSND formats on the server, thus greatly increasing the free space on the server.....

So towards the end of the year I am going to make 3 different versions of the Anomaly soundset - Volumes 1 through V.

The first version will be an archived version of the formats as it is now....

This way everyone who owns Absynth 3 or 4, Wusikstation 1 or 5 - will be able to use the sounds and presets.... Though this is primarily aimed at Wusikstation V3 and below owners, as well as current ManyStation owners, TSW owners and Vox'd owners.....

The second version will be all stereo sound files, extrapolated from the first archived version.

This will be an archived version as well. Basically aiming at those who stopped at Wusikstation V4.

These will be available only as DVD orders.....

The third and evolved version will only be .SFZ and .sf2 formats for everything.....

.SFZ files will be stereo, .sf2 files will be mono.

All of the presets for the Wusikstation versions will have to be re-saved, and maybe more added along the way.

During all of this, every format will be re-visited and most likely more presets will be made.

The price will change after the re-organization so consider the price on the dBu site as a sale price until the end of the year....

Once I finish all of this I will get to work on the new Dreams and Nightmares series.... :D
