I've got a 29 Euro off voucher for the Kore Player soundpacks but was wondering what the best ones were. Initially I was just going to get the Pop Drums pack for Kore/ Battery but then started looking at other ones - anyone use these things?

someone have me their coupon and I bought the best of massive because I am going to get the electronic experience soon and that is not included in it. I like FM8 so if I wasn;t going to get the bundle of soundpacks I would get the FM8 pack.imran5000 wrote:I've got a 29 Euro off voucher for the Kore Player soundpacks but was wondering what the best ones were. I have the Best of Massive, Best Of Reaktor, Deep Transformations, and the one for FM8.
I'm partial to the Best of Reaktor and Deep Transformations packs. I have the full version of Kore2, so the Best of Reaktor is cool because I got some of the Electronic Instruments ensembles. Deep Transformations was cool because reverse engineering some of the signal chains they created was worth the asking price.

I have all of them
It's hard to pick a favorite. I'm really liking Animated Circuits at the moment- it has a version of Metaphysical Function with a different sample map than either the original or the first Koreized version (the Koreized version was split into two for quicker load times; one uses half the original sample map and the other uses the other half). FM8 Transient Attacks is good; Pop Drums has some great round-robin implementation; Synthetic Drums has a bunch of cool MIDI files... I could go on.
They're all good. Some may be redundant with what you have already, but the new morphings take things off in a different direction.

I still like FM8 Transient Attacks best, closely followed by Deep Transformations and Animated Circuits

Could you expand on that one! I like the way Battery 3 allows cycling between different hits but the ideal situation would be a proper round robinew wrote:I have all of them![]()

The snares and kicks use four different groups (in Kontakt, which is what Kore/Kore player will use) or cells (which is what Battery uses; both the Kontakt .nkis and the Battery .kt3s are included with the Korepack) and use a combination of round robin and random. The others use two groups/cells and are strictly round robin.
