Can anyone recommend an automatic double tracking plug please.
I think there was one here recently, but for some reason I can't find it.
thanx = kev

Wait, couldn't you create such an effect yourself with a modulating delay in the same ms values (like a... fake "natural" chorus)?
I've never seen the original thread, nor do I know the developer but I always created such an effect with a normal digital delay in send only. For double tracking guitars, I use one where I can subtle modulate the delay times with an LFO recently.

I believe this was discussed in that thread too, but you can do ADT that way yes. I use the plugin at that link or AD Liquid or Discord.Compyfox wrote:Wait, couldn't you create such an effect yourself with a modulating delay in the same ms values (like a... fake "natural" chorus)?

Well, this sure is an easy pony, but I mean... before we got all those plugins, we did it the old way.
I guess what gets the job done is not that important, as long as it get's the job done.
Will try it, but thanks to POD Farm and the Dual Channel Mode, I usually don't need such a technique anymore. At least for guitars. Barely "double tracked" vocals to be honest (no need to unless I want to go Pop).

True, and funny enough the ADT plugin linked actually tries to simulate some of "the old way" as well so that's got a touch of the cool factor there (so you don't have to deal with farking tape machines
I do welcome our non-razorblade wielding and lower-maintenance digital tools quite a bit after dealing with the "old way" quite a bit).

I just got the ADT plug last night, and had a BLAST! I really like the wow and flutter options, echo slider, as well as being able to place it anywhere in the stereo field.buscemi wrote:True, and funny enough the ADT plugin linked actually tries to simulate some of "the old way" as well so that's got a touch of the cool factor there (so you don't have to deal with farking tape machinesI do welcome our non-razorblade wielding and lower-maintenance digital tools quite a bit after dealing with the "old way" quite a bit).
I had been trying to create vocal trax using the Waves Doubler. I was very successful with it, but there's something very authentic sounding about Vacuumsounds' plug.

thanks for coming back to update - that's pretty much what I wanted to get across, that it does a good job at what it intends to do and is very cool in at least trying to simulate some of the quirkiness of doing it the old-fashioned way.

That ADT plugin is a blast and it really sounds great. Someone needs to throw a GUI on that bad boy.

vacuumsound's ADT is really nice (especially when you automate the controls, too
)...but give the other two on that page a whirl. quite good stuff at almost negative cpu hit

That ADT plugin is pretty nice. I also purchased Duet by Martin Eastwood as well recently, which is great fun
