IK Buy 1 get 1 free promotion question

So I recently bought ARC (actually hasn't arrived yet) and plan to register it. Then I saw this promotion buy one IK product anywhere and register between Nov 15th and Dec 31st and receive a product of equal or lesser value for free. Great I thought T-Racks 3 Deluxe here I come.
BUT according to their site when you buy ARC you are only eligible for T-Racks 3 standard. (Not that I'm not thankful) But no matter how you price it on their website ARC costs more than T-Racks3 Deluxe.
Am I missing something or is this a mistake on their site? Or in their marketing?

No. It's not exempted. Go to the IK website and check it out. The only way to get T-Racks 3 Deluxe is to buy the Total Studio Bundle which is like $1099 or at least $900 for the crossgrade - way above the T-Racks price. And Arc is way above, too.
Honestly, i think they need to re-word their marketing pitch on this. It's not accurate.ARC is $699 (full) and $499 (crossgrade) T-Racks 3 Deluxe is $499 (full and $299 (crossgrade)
If there's some other disclaimer it's hidden pretty well. But T-Racks standard and deluxe are shown in the items you are eligible for just not where one would expect them price-wise.
Esoundz can you clear this up?

If you buy T-Racks 3 you do get another IK software plug-in for free though. Just not the other way around.lotus2035 wrote:I think T-Racks 3 is the only software product exempt from this offer AFAIK..

FWIW, the Sample Tank 2.5 SE module included with this promotion is locked to the downloadable sound set of bread & butter samples provided with it, i.e. it is unable to use any other SampleTank 2 sound sets.

Here's the page for the promotion I'm talking about...
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/Main.html?mic/index.php
Scroll to the bottom and click on the IK unprecedented all-range buy-one-get-one-FREE! link. The info's there...
My original question hasn't been answered. When I get a chance I'll contact IK directly.

Just so you know though, this is an IK dealer's forum. www.esoundz.com and we appreciate the support when you buy those IK products from us (plus you get extras a lot of times - not to mention epointz). So, just to make sure you all know you get the promo buy one get one free deal from all of the qualifying IK products on esoundz as well and you save money when buying from a dealer... just to know.

Really? That's very dissapointing - I thought I could finally fire up my Squids Tron collection on my (UB)MacBook - looks like I gonna have to shell out more cash and get ST2.5 or write it off as a sunk cost.jondl_2000 wrote:FWIW, the Sample Tank 2.5 SE module included with this promotion is locked to the downloadable sound set of bread & butter samples provided with it, i.e. it is unable to use any other SampleTank 2 sound sets.

I would email IKMM and put this to them - they could well co-operate. On the IKMM site, in the UK, the T-RackS 3 Deluxe prices are less than the ARC prices so as far as I can see it should be eligible.SimSam wrote:Honestly, i think they need to re-word their marketing pitch on this. But I notice that the wording on the IKMM page says:
rather thanFrom November 15th till December 31st 2008 every customer that purchases one full or crossgrade version across the IK range of products will receive one product of equal or lesser value FREE!
From November 15th till December 31st 2008 every customer that purchases one full or crossgrade version across the IK range of products will receive any product of equal or lesser value FREE!

I'm got the ARC system and would probably get SampleTron of SampleMoog as my free plug in. Any idea how you get the content? The SampleTron soundset is like 4Gigs...
