Since I still have not bought Sample tank, I was wondering if creating a ram drive and load samples into this is a workable idea. If I have a song with 6-8 instruments and a 2 gig ram drive will this be good to do. I have no idea how big each instrument is. Thanks for any thoughts, Wyndham

Sampletank et al are RAM-based players, so they load the whole sound bank in at one time. It doesn't go out to the drive after that.
A RAM disk will benefit at load-time (at startup or if you're changing presets during a gig), but once the sample set is loaded it won't contribute.
