After YEARS of using my midi controllers (emu xboard and mpd24) all of a sudden, today, my computer decided to not recognize any MIDI input.

I reinstalled Asio4all, i rebooted, changed usb ports, checked setting on both ableton and fl studio, checked settings in windows audio devices and nothing works.
I'm f**ked!
I'm playing a gig tomorrow!

Please help!

Tricky, but here is the best I can reccomend if all the normal things fail:
Uninstall all audio devices and drivers, then reinstall the driver for one of the MIDI devices.

If you have a second OS drive, try booting from that one instead (or simply do a fresh OS install on a new drive), and see if it works with a fresh install. Some registry entry or configuration setting may simply have gotten corrupted and it can be very tricky to ferret it out otherwise.

You might want to reinstall the MIDI drivers for your controllers. I've found this to be true for M-Audio keyboards -- suddenly the hardware is not recognized. Rebooting sometimes worked, but reinstalling always did. When I updated to a newer keyboard, the newer driver seemed more stable in this regard.

Fixed!

It was a conflict regarding a logitech webcam driver.
I read about it in the troubleshoot manual for the firmware edit program of my Akai Mpd 24....
