Hello,
I did a multitrack project with MAGIX Audio Studio (a powerfull "little brother" of Samplitude, shipped in Music Studio 2003) using Ambience in AUX tracks.
Today, I did format and reinstall my computer (big problems with aspi and stability).
I did NOT save any presets of Ambience and I'd like to know IF all parameters are saved within the VIP file of Audio Studio. This one seems able to save of parameters of other plugs (SoFo paraEQ for example) but i'm not sure if it's realated to audio application OR plugins.
Thanx for giving me some light... and hope.
Regards,
jam

Hi jam... sorry for being extremly late with my answer! Ambience does nothing special so I think all the parameters should be saved just like other plugins. If you used an old ambience version and downloaded the new version there may be problems loading the old presets...
In my new plugins that I'm working on I've fixed this version upgrade problem so that this won't happen again. Do you have any need for the old version now?

MAGIX audio studio is only able to store all vst-FX parameters which a plugin provides into the VIP.
No problem for vst-fx /vsti (in Samplitude) which provide ALL parameters to the host, but can be a problem for those, which doesn't. Plugins/synths with its own preset mechanisms possibly store more parameters internally, which they doesn't provide as vst parameters, maybe because the manufacturers think it makes no sense to automate them.
Ambience should cause no problem, i think, the parameters list is complete.
