Cantabile 2 as of Build 2007 presents a greatly improved appearance on loading.

First, there's a momentary flash of the quick-scan notification.

That's followed by your VSTi's loading progress window, if the instrument is big. For very small VSTi's, this phase too can go more or less unnoticed.

Only when things are fully loaded does the Cantabile screen appear, in a tidy, completed form.

This makes the program more attractive and pleasanter to use. One had not even realized it was somewhat chaotic before, as multiple screens appeared and got updated.

Very nice now, and much appreciated.

I'm surprised (but pleased) you noticed this, although this bit:

isn't me. You sure that's not the plugin your using?

The loading phase varies by plugin, yes.

A huge piano sample loading into Kontakt may show the Kontakt progress window for almost a minute, as it gets into memory. Then the Kontakt window closes, and Cantabile appears.

A small VSTi like Pianoteq loads no samples, so with that session, Cantabile opens up without showing a progress screen.

All's normal.

I have the same situation with NI Elektrik Piano or Steinberg The Grand.
It takes a while to load the samples.

I have a session intended for practicing and testing sounds, which contains lots of racks and heavy VSTs. I never expected them to load instantly :)

I agree, that Cantabile looks more solid now on load.
