Is there any way to merge 2 different combi presets in Sampletank (other than bringing each part in manually)?
For example, if I have a multi part drum kit (4 parts) and a layered synth (4 parts), I 'd like to create an 8 part combi preset.
Thanks

A Combi is a set of Instruments or User Presets.
There's a bit of a fiddly way
:
-- load the first combi,
-- identify the 4 Instruments / User Presets that are used,
-- if you've changed them, save each of the 4 Parts as a User Preset,
-- load the second Combi (replaces the first),
-- load the 4 Instruments / User Presets into different Parts,
-- optinally, change the MIDI input channels,
-- optionally, change the audio output channels,
-- save the 8 Parts as a new Combi.
It takes a few minutes but it's worth it if you want all the layers together.
But remember, you will only have one set each of Send FX and Master FX so you may need to give them some thought.

I use a "Reset" combi, but I can't remember if it's one of the standards or if I saved it myself.P.T. wrote:Is there a way to unload a combi so that the slots are empty?
I see the delete button but am afraid that it will wipe the combi from the disk.
If it's not standard, it's easy to make - just open up a new ST2 instance and save the blank state as a combi. It'll then be available for all other ST2 instances (you might need to reload the project for it to show up).
