It's back to Aldebaran polka again

Before The Storm

A quick and dirty ditty. Three instances of Alchemy inside Kore, with the Akkord sequencer from EIv2 driving one of them. Maschine.

As always, comments and/or your sister's phone number greatly appreciated :)

Edits due to new server and the fact that I can say what was used for the drums now.

As a matter of fact- yes.

One of my nieces graduated from college last weekend, and I couldn't make it to the graduation because of the weather between where she was (Fargo) and where I am (St. Paul) At least I got a tune out of it...

Very cool loungy track.

I could see this one in a Bouddah Bar or earlier Cafe Del Mar volumes.

Just a suggestion : More and deeper reverb on congas. I had to wait some moments where they were deeply exposed to find out the little reverb on them.

But just my taste here.

Else a cool groovy moment. :tu:

Very nice groove to it, great drum sounds! The bongos/ congas (whichever they may be) need more reverb (I agree with Lotuzia there). Other than that a nice lounge track for sure!

Post

Ah- more people :)

I tried it with more reverb on the bongos (yes, they're bongos) before I did the final mix, but I felt they became too in your face then. That's why they're as dry as they are...

Thanks for listening  :D

Would you mind telling me where you got the bongo sounds? I love them! It does make sense that more reverb would make them to "in your face". Non the less still a great track! I think you'd like my track "Winter Night". It's somewhere on the first page here.

It's a modification of the Battery library's bongo kit.

Man, I learn indirectly from you as well! I think the bongos being dry help anchor the piece, and propel it. Does that make sense? Great tune anyway! Although much different, the effect of the music to me was like Fripp and Eno's "No Pussyfootin'", where it's extremely listenable, but could also serve as a backdrop. Does THAT, make sense?
