I have transport buttons on my controller keyboard. They use mmc commands instead of cc commands. Does cantibile support thes and if not will it ever. Just checking this software out as a future buy.

Funny you should ask... I'm working on this as we speak and it should be in the next build (probably still a day or two away).billcar2004 wrote:I have transport buttons on my controller keyboard. These won't be an automatic assignments, and not all the mmc commands will be supported - just the simpler ones such as stop/play/pause/rewind/record. These will appear in MIDI controller assignments and can be assigned to any Cantabile command. So you'll still need to create the assignments but you can save them globally once done.

Cantabile Performer only... however I'm seriously considering dropping it from 2.0 and including it in a 2.1 release shortly thereafter. Reasoning is that it's a fair bit of work and I don't want to rush it.billcar2004 wrote:...what versions is the live view going to be on.

Thats cool. I think i am sold on the performer version anyway. It's nice to see its being updated regulary. On that topic, do you have a list anywhere of things still to be added to the software.

Well I've got a list of about 10 years worth of work in a notepad herebillcar2004 wrote:Thats cool. I think i am sold on the performer version anyway. It's nice to see its being updated regulary. On that topic, do you have a list anywhere of things still to be added to the software.

Aside from that, check the release notes they summarize what I'm planning for v2. http://www.cantabilesoftware.com/suppor ... notes.html
There's also a few other things that I'm putting in for the next build like user customizable external tools and better support for RPN/NRPN controllers, sysex volume balance, sysex MMC controls and another new button bank MIDI filter.

Build 2008 (available now) should support most of the simple MMC commands for MIDI assignments. Not well tested yet, please let me know if there's any issues.billcar2004 wrote:I have transport buttons on my controller keyboard. They use mmc commands instead of cc commands.
