RMV OSX Pad Librarian Search problem...

Hi there,
I'm attempting to transfer a load of samples I have onto pads and am having issues with being able to search for them afterwards...
I will assign the Credits of a sound to 'Goldbaby' (as well as other attributes like 'Kick') and save the sound but when searching with Goldbaby as the credit attribute the search comes up empty... using different credits that already existed (ie: lin for linplug) finds the appropriate pads easily.
The pad exists, there just seems to be an issue with the search function (I cannot hone the search with 'kick', 'sampled' etc as if I use 'Match All' it can't find 'Goldbaby'. if I use Match Any, there are too many kicks and the browser won't display past 'PA' (I believe this a problem that has been spoken about previously): my pad is called TTonic BD1).
Any help would be greatly appreciated... I'm trying this again with a different batch of samples but I'm still a little concerned as this is not the first time I've had the searching for pads issue.
Alan
PS: Also, I have noticed that if you save over an existing pad (the dialog box offers you the option of yes or no) it adds an extra instance of the same pad to the pad library rather than overwriting. Am I correct in thinking that the only was to delete a pad from the library is to go into the finder and manually delete it? (Tried it so yes!)
This duplication in the Pad Library is quite a problem as folk may want to amend some the attributes... especially stuff like ratings, which will help hone a search into Pads you would prefer to use and this something that a user might not want to setup perfectly in one go (I'm certainly experimenting with adding different tags that may need changing in the future).

Just to add to yesterday's post... I started importing more GoldBaby samples as pads but this time with a lot more luck saving the attributes. Not sure what was happening with the first batch but it was definitely doing odd things.
Still think it's worth looking into the replacing pads doubling up rather than copying over issue though!
Also wondered how easy it might be to add more options in the pull-down menu for drum types in a future revision? Seems odd that claves would be an option but not congas?! If this was not possible how about a generic 'Percussion' type?
Cheers,
Alan

Well, it seems the longer I investigate, the less it is an issue ... here. To me it seems that when you load a pad (or create one from scratch), you can save it and overwrite it just as one would expect The only thing which is not as nice is, when you load a kit and save a pad from it, it will be a different file than the one the kit originally referred to, this is a technical limitation, as Kits not have a link to all the pads being originally used to built them (I hope this not sounds too confusing).
Can you please check this from your end, creating a pad and saving it over and over again should only leave one pad file (not multiple of them. Assuming you dont change the pads name between the saves of course

Thanks for your reply Peter... I'll have a play around at the weekend and see if I can get to where you're at... I think I'm understanding what you're saying, just need to try it out.
