Is it possible to put the wav loops from RAW Gold into Drumcore so that they show up in it's search engine?? If so,,, how??

First, I'd recommend using the Rex loops instead of Wav from that package. I tried to do it, but found the whole process so tedious that I quit after the first disk. As much as I love DrumCore (even the ReWire bit, which doesn't bother me at all), their import process is unforgiveably primitive. I think it should be able to read at least one subfolder level down, and you should be able to just drag and drop a disk and have it suck up all the loops. No such luck. You have to hand enter information, point it to a directory, and click enter (and then repeat that about a million times).harmony gardens wrote:Is it possible to put the wav loops from RAW Gold into Drumcore so that they show up in it's search engine?? Later on, I bought RMX and imported all of Gold in about a half hour. MUCH easier...

That's so true. Drumcore's import process is primitive. It's a shame because the product has so much potential...KeithAdv wrote:First, I'd recommend using the Rex loops instead of Wav from that package. Thanks you guys, it definately does have potential. I was hoping to use it as a master loop librarian.

Sounds...intriguing...Squids wrote:Keep your eye out for news at NAMM.
Like HG, I originally wanted to use Drum Core as a master librarian. There's something very smart about the way it works. I don't know of a faster way to build a near-perfect track from true audio loops. But, until your tease, I had decided that it works best only with the drummerpack loops and related kits and I was content to let it go with that. Too bad, because as brilliant as RMX is, it's designed to do something very different than Drum Core.
If Drum Core is going to be a true loop database manager, then it has to be aces at data import, organization, and management. I'll be more than interested to see what they come up with!
