Bug -- Attempted writing to Read-Only files.

I had one or two good sessions that I wished to preserve from accidental change. I marked them as Read-Only.

Naturally, I forgot about that quite soon and tried to save over them. Instead of reporting the condition and asking for instructions, Cantabile Solo 2010 crashes, causing the loss of the editing work.

Not a serious, common problem but the cause of crash was puzzling for a while, and I expect Cantabile is not intended to act so.

I've had a look at this and while I couldn't reproduce a crash, I did spot an failure condition that I wasn't checking for that could explain it. I've also improved the error reporting when a session fails to save.

This fix will be in the next build.

Thanks for such quick action.

Perhaps "crash" was the wrong term, but I consistently got a message: "Cantabile has encountered a problem and needs to close". There was no choice but to let it close.

Build 2011 with this fix is available now.

Looks good here now. Trying to save over a read-only file now brings the message "Failed to Save -- Access Denied". No crash.
