Hi All,
I'm looking for some feedback on how the initial transport state of a session should be controlled. Specifically what I'm talking about here is loading a session and having it automatically start play.
In Cantabile 1.2 if you save the file while it's playing it auto plays the next time its loaded which sort of works but is a bit convoluted.
Some other possibilities I'm thinking are:
* A per-session setting "Automatically play when loaded"
* A global setting of a similar nature.
* Only make this possible in Performer and configure it using session load triggers. (ie: a new trigger action to start/stop transport)
* Just maintain the current state so if playing when loading a session the newly loaded session plays.
* Forget it and leave it the user to press Play.
What do you think? Other ideas?
Brad

Global setting, please, if anything. I'd leave it off and start manually when ready, anyway.
It may be something more useful for the Performer, perhaps a selling point.

It would be flexible to have it as a per session setting especially if you could check a box in the file save dialog box.
__AutoPlay On
__AutoPlay Off or something like that. What about sub-sessions?

Thanks guys, I'll take all that under consideration.
Not sure about sub-session either, except I think loading a sub-session probably should affect transport state.
