We're a little late to the table with this one, but Computer Music just published their review, so I guess we're not THAT far behind the curve. Here's the Waveformless review of Synplant:

There is a mod available for Synplant that I made during the xmas and got permission to release it. Since you guys reviewed synplant then I'd say you should take a listen to this one:

Who said that ideas are in the air?
When I saw the Sonic Charge µTonic, I saw something very similar to my own "Drums and Bass Line v1" : a drum sequencer, sounds are created by a noise generator and an oscillator. Mine is a freeware. (Anyway, it is the most commun way to create synth drums sounds.)
The demo of the Synplant sounds "analog like synthesizers". Is it just the interface wich is new?

In a word, yes. it is the innovative interface/paradigm that is so distinctive in how it craetes presets, but the the sound itself is equally good. It actually has fm synthesis going on inside it as well, so it's not strictly a VA.H.Noury wrote:Who said that ideas are in the air?

Yeah, I personally don't think it sounds analog at all... very digital. The interface is primarily what makes it special, but it does sound different from any of the other softsynths I have.

Thank you Jobromedia.
I tried the Thorns (Wildgrown version) Mod and it added some spice to Synplant Sound Texture. Really nice.
