I've been trying to trace the source of this sample for a few weeks now and so far I've drawn a blank, do any of you guys know where it might have come from or could you give me some advice on how I could track it down?
I'm particularly interested in any video/film footage that may have accompanied it originally as I am hoping to use it in an AV composition.
The sample is of someone saying "Rebel Base" and was used by Public Enemy in a track of theirs called "Hazy Shade Of Criminal" Here's an mp3, please feel free to check it out:

I've gone to some pretty extreme lengths to try and find this sample, even posting this track on various Sci Fi forums to ask people if they might recognise it. This did no good whatsoever, though I am now very well versed in the art of Fantasy Role Playing and oh yeah, also now benefit from having my very own "Hobbit" Title: "Marroc Gamgee-Took of Bywater" . . . . Thanks you guys
NO DJDMT!!! You may be a moderator but you know nothing about Return of the Jedi!! There wasn't even a Rebel base in Return of the friken Jedi so How could that possible be Admiral Ackbar!!!!!!
. . .
So, after Googling for many weeks now, using quote searches at IMDB etc, I have managed to narrow it down to a few possibles but you can never be sure, an educated guess leads me to believe that it may actually be from either Battlestar Galactica or Buck Rogers
Look at them!!! They don't even look real!

And if I ever get to meet a damned Ewok, I'll show him just what he can do with his rebel base. and that Admiral Ackbar.
Though in actual fact there is a Rebel Base in Starwars and indeed in Empire strikes back also and the voice actor used in some of the scenes does sound very similar, though side by side comparison does in fact reveal that the sample is not from either of the first two movies.
I've also hit all the hip hop sample listing sites that might be of any use, and am now even considering approaching and if necessary bribing "The Imperial Grand Ministers of Funk" (The producers of the track) to tell me, Where the hell they got this f'cking sample!!
Please feel free to offer any suggestions, I would also appreciate moral support at this stage.
Regards - ni-cad.
