well, Silicon Tao is an anagram of AlioNoctis as my dear friend Dimitri found out (and based on this anagram he's working on a further demo video probably starring Lisa Cotoni

)

And yes, AlioNoctis is out now!

The new AlioNoctis VSTi Synthesizer by HG Fortune adds up many of the benefits from his prior ProtoPlasm, STS and Atonoise VST/i with the ease of use many still love with the STS-21. Soundwise it goes beyond all the aforementioned ones with vivid athmos, complex textures and pads but also some rhythmicated sounds, all of those can be enriched by the out-of-this-world flavour of Inferno, Spooks and of course the highly efficient Bass Enhancer. In fact the free version is not limited as such it simply does not have all the features of the Pro version. You have it fully functional except with less features such as 'only' 5 voices instead of 10, only one global Lazy button instead of 8, SF2 load for 'only' two oscillators while this feature has never been present in prior free version by me. The internal bank does handle 'only' 64 patches instead of 128.

The only real limitation is the GUI is censored at a certain part - you might imagine what part that is

Ahh, and I forgot to mention: There is an easter egg hidden on the GUI - finding it You'll can switch patches at random. I implemented this as I got a bit bored listening always to the same patch when testing new dlls in hosts.

I've checked the free version and I was delighted to see that AlioNoctis goes even further in terms of features for an athmo & texture synth with all controls on the GUI I've been looking for in a different thread here. Soundwise it is great and quite unexpected highly flexible. A quick test with some my own samples (converted) showed this just fits right into the project with my friends, and esp. those really slow LFO will serve perfectly. So we gonna have lots of fun then live.

HG Fortune, you have done a great job with AlioNoctis and I thank you very much for it. My order is out already.

Just beneath the "Oscillator Mix" window is a 'box' that says "03WS". Click that box, and you will notice an "SF2 Load" box to the far left, above "OscSettings".

'Oscilation' ?? come on Froghtune, give us a laugh, where are those other anagrams which didn't quite fit the feel of the synth?? .... or have I stumbled upon a whole conceptual range in the pipeline???

this one tops them all. the freebie features are unprecedented. cpu use is nice and low. i'm glad you're still giving free versions even though we can get sidetracked when we should be making presets
