Are there anyone who tried to use java for vst plugin development ? anyone used jVSTwRAPPER ? Is it worth to write plugin in java or maybe it's just better (easier + similar (?) cpu hungry) to use synthmaker / synthedit ?

I don't want to programm in C++ because i know java - but on the other hand, im not sure if jVSTwRapper is enough. Sure, there are few examples but i dont want to end up my project with some unresolvable problem :) Maybe there are some resources for java vst development ?

would love to hear about this too.

the included jvst synths/fx are quite promising.

Dont know if you consider those 'serious':

heres the full list of jvstwrapper projects im aware of:

A word on stability:
All I can say is that the VST and LADSPA parts are very stable since some time now. AU might still have some problems, as this is the newest part of jvstwrapper. However, MusicBeam is already actively using the AU part and they are very happy with it. So hopefully there wont be any more problems there...

Heres a list of known issues:

As always, Im happy to give anyone support when problems occur.
