Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to stress how important it is that you send me the crash dumps if Cantabile crashes. Crash dumps are practically essential to eliminating these crashes and since I'm in testing and bug fixing mode now is more important than ever.
The location of the crash dumps will vary depending on the version of Windows you're running, but the easiest way to find them is to:
1. Restart Cantabile.
2. Click the build number label in the top right corner.
3. Click the Diagnostics button
4. Click the Find Log File button
This will launch Windows Explorer with the correct folder selected. Once there look for any files ending with ending with ".mdmp" (for minidump). eg: Cantabile 2.0-2.0.0.2017-Performer-2009-03-08-19-19-43.mdmp
If you can't even start Cantabile or for other information about these files see http://www.cantabilesoftware.com/suppor ... notes.html .
Once located, attach them to an email send them to me with a description of what you were doing when it crashed. Often that will be enough for me to trace the cause of it. If not I may get back to you for more information.
You can get my email address from http://www.cantbailesoftware.com/contact .
Thanks for your help.
