I'd not heard of you before this. Your website looks very nice, but I found it a little awkward to move around in. I'll have to go back to it to see what you're all about.

Giga works fine for me. I have Kontakt and prefer files in that format, but I'm not so into the types of instruments that you seem to be producing anyways, so you can safely ignore me. :D

It's hard to tell from the available mp3s, although they are obviously beautifully crafted.

The first piano demo sounds impressive, but is an unusual style of music ... conservatoire spooky?

The second 2 mp3s are slow tempo tunes ... but again, interesting and enjoyable. Lovely and posh sounding.

But is it all enough to buy on :?:

When I bought Atmosphere, I had a load of demos I could keep going back to listen to, while I took a month making my mind up whether it had enough bang for my buck.

Again, when listening to Diva, I was wondering whether the girls would sound any good as a backing duet to a singer (cool ... loads of fast ooh aahs, even if not quite shoobydoo) ... but I couldn't tell from the available samples.

Going further ... like a lot of people here I buy regularly, but not necessarily to spend $150 on a v specialist item (albeit a desirable specialist item)

Take acoustic guitars ... Pro Samples do a cut-down version of the Yellow Tools Pure Guitars, a high quality sample set, which reduces the price down from $150 to £29 inc tax.

Maybe I don't get all the fancy articulations and slides, but I get a few well-crafted bread and butter acoustic guitar multi-velocity samples ... plus an option that if I upgrade to the full set, then I get the original fee deducted from the total.

I like this. It means I can take a chance and enjoy buying.

Diva is very sweet and beautiful ... but pricey for my kind of budget considering it's v specialist ... but I would buy a budget cut down pack tomorrow if only for the fun of using such an attractive sound.

Anyone else care to chip in their view on this?

Any sampler owner spends a chunk of any week wondering what to buy next, and what is affordable, and how much use it'll get, and so on.

No Bela ... not overpriced ... just specialist-expensive for all the non-pros who hang out here, who regularly drop a chunk of their monthly hard-earned on more gear.

Depends how far you want to reach into the market :?:

You have every right to be proud of your work, and I'm not trying to take any of that away from you.

I'm being nice, but straight, regarding the likes of a lot of us here  :)

Oooh, I see what you are saying. Yes, that makes sense.

I will be offering (at some pont) a smaller ACID version for $49.99.
Perhaps that would be more attractive to your readers?

Nonetheless, thank you for your time and everyone enjoy the free Gigs,

Really nice place you have here. One question though ....

Where's my drink? :)

Well, coming from Northern Sounds where people itch to drop thousands on orchestral libraries it seems, here, people whine about a plug costing over $100, looking constantly for 'best value', and like using lots of 'freebie' plugs. I've already bought Symphony Of Voices and Voices Of The Apocalypse, so my spending threshold is a bit higher than I'd say a good chunk of folks around here.

I've listened to the demos, and while they sound lovely, I'm concerned it might be too 'signature' sounding. The price is very attractive though, and certainly tempts me, trust me. Maybe someday, but around here, it seems people are not interested in dropping the cash on VERY specialized libraries in general. I could be wrong, but that's my general impression over here.

"On VERY specialized libraries in general"

No more so than SOV or VOTA.
Of course, $150.00 is a far cry from $499.99.

Fearing Diva to be too signature? I most respectfully disagree.
Please wait for final demos (September 5th). Once more, Diva is no more signature than the above titles that you and I both own.

I'll look forward to more demos then. The current ones I haven't found that impressive compared to the 'wow factor' I got from VOTA and SOV, but they do sound good. Still worried about the 'smoothness' of switching notes and how 'unnatural' it'll sound as well, one of the downfalls I've found to working with the other libaries as well.

As for 'signature', the sound itself is 2 females, that's it. SOV and VOTA, have a LOT more than 2 vocalists (meaning, if I use the low male notes on VOTA, it sounds like monks, but I use the upper range of male, it sounds like operatic singers). I'd prefer myself to have more soloists with different tonal characteristics, to give me a variety, and that's what it looks like you're going to be offering soon, yes?
