Another nice amp, some more mindless riffing. Thanks Nick!

When recording, is it possible to monitor the track thru the VST at the same time? If so, how do you do that?

Cheers.

Sure, it's just another plugin. Is that what you mean? If you put it before a track(Insert). You are recording the track "Wet" or "Effected". After the track (Plugin). You are then recording the track "Dry" or "Unaffected". A dry track can be "reamped". That means you can swap out amps and try different setups.

Either way, when you monitor the mixer output, you hear the guitar going through the amp. If your sound card is a good one and your latency is low, you can use them in real time.

Audio In>Sound-Card>ASIO>[(Insert)Audio Track(Plugin)Mixer]>ASIO>Audio Out

You've been around for a while don't you know this already?

Thanks for the response. Actually, I joined this place a few years ago, but actually have only started coming here recently (either that or I'm a slow learner). With guitar, up to this point I've always recorded from my POD, and then applied any VST FX after. This time I thought I'd try something different, and just record a dry signal and apply some amp simulation via the VST. At first I could only hear the dry guitar signal (pre-recording), and not the VST-applied signal. I found my problem though. Cheers again.
