That can be a preset from any synth/sampler, software/hardware, or natural instrument. Band/musician recordings, or even sounds in nature.
If it's from synth or sampler, the name of the synth/sampler and preset name is good, or a sound sample is better.
This is for sound design research.
Thank you,
Michael :)
I'll start.
My favorite natural instrument sound is the "Erhu"

I also think the clavinet is the best sounding electric instrument.

My favorite synth sounds can be heard on Chick Corea's first "Elektric Band" recordings from 1986. I used to have it on cassette, and can't remember the synths he used on it, but those layered sounds on the last song, really sounded great.

My favorite is the one I cant seem to wrap my head around, called "french house". Seriously, the drums, the synths, the glitchyness, I cant seem to figure it out, but I am addicted to it.
Synthesizers!

Is it a sound or a genre of music?

Pete Townshends guitar at the end of "magic bus" on "isle of wight" festival. That "a" diddy is the sickest guitar sound I've ever heard.........:phew: that is really saying something!

My 5 year old cousin saying "meow meow" while pretending to be a cat. Can't replace her voice with a synth. Oh well.

Mike Oldfield Wembley Arena 1979 - The largest stack of electrostatic speakers I have ever seen, and without doubt the best live concert sound I've ever heard.

Oh yea...I had "Tubular Bells" on tape years ago. Used to listen to that alot. He had great sounds. He did the Exorcist theme song, didn't he?

Chick Corea Elektric Bands, first record. The song was called "India Town". That has some of the best synth sounds I've heard. Anyone know what synths he used for those recordings?

The sound of one hand clapping!
